About Us
Alex Heumann is the Owner and CEO of Aloha OT, as well as an OTR/L, who grew up in San Juan Capistrano, California. Committed to community support, he holds a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy and serves as an associate professor at Saddleback College. Alex is also a former professional baseball player and an Eagle Scout.
Biography
I have been teaching at Saddleback College with the Adapted Kinesiology Program since Fall 2022. Prior to joining Saddleback College, I worked as an occupational therapist (OTR/L) with equine and aquatic therapies in non-traditional occupational therapy, running Aloha OT, and as a school OT at Community Roots Academy. I also have experience in other areas of post-secondary education including work as an instructor's aide from 2017-2019 at Saddleback and as a graduate level teachers assistant at the University of St Augustine's for Health Sciences in 2022. Volunteer work with Interfaith in Escondido, My Kids Place Pediatric Center, and various surf therapy events. I was born and raised in south OC, was awarded as an Eagle Scout and attended Dana Hills High. I live in San Juan Capistrano with my wife and daughter.
